Virtual Maritime Career Fair - A Call for Employers

As part of our Career Connect Washington Maritime Sector ongoing work, we actively track, document, and inform about emerging technologies and trends. Sea Potential is hosting a workforce development opportunity in collaboration with the National Society of Black Engineers  on January 21st, 2026 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM for mid-high level engineers looking to find employment in the maritime sector. Our engineers span into the following sectors:

  • Civil Engineers

  • Mechanical Engineers

  • Electrical Engineers

  • Chemical Engineers

  • Aerospace Engineers

  • Data Engineers

  • Process Engineers

  • Computer Science

We know mid-high level engineers are hard to come by and our group of engineers are looking for employment opportunities. Many of these engineers have little awareness of the options to use their skills in the maritime sector. During the event, there will be introductions, an overview of the maritime sector and career opportunities, and break out sessions. As we get more confirmations, there will be an outline of the event provided. The request for participation is:

  • Companies guarantee a representative from the hiring committee

  • Representatives support the breakout rooms where they answer questions from engineers about refining their resumes for this industry's engineering positions.

  • Company representatives can guarantee an interview for select participants.

This would be a wonderful opportunity for respective companies to build a relationship and for your company to connect to an eager group of potential employees.

If your company is interested, please fill out this interest form. If this doesn't feel like a good fit for you, we ask if you could forward along to your network.
