USNI News reports America’s Maritime Action Plan, published Feb. 13, provides a blueprint for the government, shipbuilders and the maritime industry to meet the requirements of an executive order signed last April by President Donald Trump that called for an overhaul of the U.S. shipping industry, including civilian and military shipbuilding capabilities, mariner training and credentialing and the U.S. port system.
