Washington Maritime Stakeholder Group Biweekly Comm

2026 Maritime Workforce Forum (5/19/26)

Welcome to the Maritime Stakeholder Group Biweekly Comm

Welcome, and thank you for joining the Maritime Stakeholder Group community.

This informal biweekly communication is designed to keep maritime stakeholders informed, connected, and engaged with workforce, education, training, industry, economic development, and policy initiatives impacting the maritime sector.

Our goal is to provide timely updates on projects and initiatives led by the NW Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology in our role as Career Connect Washington Maritime Sector Lead, while also highlighting the outstanding work being done by our many partners across the state and beyond.

As part of our commitment to advancing the vision of Washington State as a Maritime Campus, we will share information on workforce development efforts, emerging industry trends, educational pathways, grant opportunities, events, research, and innovative programs that support maritime careers and industry growth.

While Washington State remains our primary focus, maritime is a global industry. We also spotlight noteworthy developments from across the United States and around the world that may influence workforce needs, technology, policy, and industry practices.

Most importantly, this communication serves as a way to connect stakeholders, share promising practices, promote collaboration, and strengthen the collective efforts underway to support the maritime workforce of today and tomorrow.

Thank you for being part of this growing network. We look forward to sharing updates, highlighting successes, and continuing the conversation with you.
